Hi! My name is Victoria Vourkoutiotis and I’m from Toronto, Canada. I recently graduated from the University of Michigan (BFA in Acting, minor in History) and moved to New York. I love cooking, Legos, and sneaker shopping.
Updates!
I was a fight and intimacy choreographing assistant on Arena Stage’s production of Death on the Nile (DC) and New Circle Theatre’s Start Then Next under Rick Sordelet
I fight choreographed for a new musical workshop called Under the Sheet produced by Moxie Arts
I travelled to Romania in July to perform in Prometheus. Beginnings. at the Sibiu International Theatre Festival
I’m currently working with Theatre Intimacy Education to further my intimacy choreography training and will be choreographing for a short film called Skin in March 2025
I was a recipient of the SMTD DEI Belonging Award for 2024, which I am extremely proud of
In the fall, I played Puck in an educational touring production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, which was a blast to bring to elementary and middle schools in Michigan.
I also directed and stage managed our university production of Intimate Apparel (read about it here!) which, with the help of the Prison Creative Arts Project, we brought to four prisons in Michigan. This initiative was completely spearheaded by the cast of the show, and was incredibly well supported by the faculty.
Some of my favourite projects include assistant directing an AAPI production of Next to Normal (read about it here!) and acting in somebody’s children by José Casas, which was about youth living in the shadows of Disneyland (read about it here!). We were given the opportunity to bring the show to the Festival de Teatro Universitario in Mexico City, which was an incredible experience.
Go Blue!
